Holding position over weekend risk

The markets nowadays are rather volatile, and gapping may occurs over the weekend.
For traders who doesn't wish to have positions open/ close at the market gapped price, it is better to close out or remove position before market close.
It is not uncommon for prices to be a number of pips away from the market close price. So do take into consideration as your risk management.
